Harshwardhan Zala and Urvashi Kikani, the Co-Founders of Aerobotics7, were recognized with the 2024 Kluz Prize for PeaceTech for their pioneering advancements in artificial intelligence and autonomous systems aimed at detecting landmines and clearing unexploded ordnance.
In addition to the main award, several special recognitions were also announced:

Håvard Hegre, Director of VIEWS, was honored for his work in applying AI to peacebuilding efforts. The award was accepted by Simon Polichinel von der Maase on Hegre’s behalf, who is a key researcher at VIEWS.

Max Cooper, Principal Research Scientist and lead of the Science Team at Lunasonde, received recognition for utilizing space-based technology to promote global peace.

Joel Myhre, DEEP Project Coordinator at the Danish Refugee Council, was acknowledged for the humanitarian impact of the DEEP platform.
The awards ceremony took place on September 20, 2024, in New York City, aligning with the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly and in anticipation of the International Day of Peace. The event spotlighted visionary leaders who are harnessing cutting-edge technology to advance peace and global stability.
